Getting started with Rally — your first setlist in 5 minutes

In this guide you’ll create your first setlist in Rally in 5 minutes. Whether you perform solo or with a band — this is everything you need to get started.

Step 1: Create an account

Go to live.stagerally.app/register and create an account. You only need an email address and password. No credit card, no trial period — Soundcheck is free.

After signing up, create your first band. Even if you’re solo: in Rally a “band” is simply your workspace. Give it a name (for example your artist name) and you’re in.

Step 2: Add songs

Go to Songs and tap New. Fill in per song:

  • Title — the name of the song
  • Artist — the original artist
  • Key — the key you perform it in
  • BPM — the tempo (optional, but handy)
  • Lyrics — song text, chords, or both

Add as much or as little info as you want. You can always edit later.

Tip: start with 5-10 songs you play most often. You can add your full repertoire at your own pace later.

Step 3: Build a setlist

Go to Setlists and create a new one. Give your setlist a name — for example “Wedding Johnson” or “Café set Friday”.

Add songs by selecting them from your library. Drag them into the right order. You can create sections to structure your set:

  • Set 1 — your opening numbers
  • Break
  • Set 2 — the party section
  • Encore — the closers

Sections are optional but make your setlist much clearer, especially for longer performances.

Step 4: Invite your band

Go to Settings and copy the invite link. Share it with your band members via WhatsApp, email or wherever you like. They click the link, create an account, and they’re instantly in your band.

Your band members see the same songs and setlists. No double work.

Step 5: Go live

Open your setlist and tap Live. Your live session starts and your band members are automatically synchronised. As you scroll through the setlist, everyone follows along on their own screen.

That’s it. You have a digital setlist that works on any device, even offline, and synchronises your entire band in real-time.
