Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

What is Rally? +
Rally (StageRally) is the live setlist app for the stage. It keeps your whole band synchronized on the same song. The band leader advances and every screen follows automatically — with lyrics, chords, and cues per person.
Does Rally work without internet? +
Your entire setlist is on every device, even without internet — you just keep playing. Live sync does need a connection to keep screens in step, but it picks back up automatically when you're online again. No data lost, no panic.
What devices does Rally work on? +
Rally works on iPad, iPhone, and laptop via the browser. You don't need to install anything — open the link and you can play right away. Bluetooth foot pedals are also supported for hands-free control.
How much does Rally cost? +
Rally has three tiers: Soundcheck (free, personal use), Club (€15/month, up to 4 people with live sync) and Mainstage (€25/month, up to 11 people including crew channel). The band leader pays, all members join free.
Can I change the setlist live during a performance? +
Yes, with live editing you can change the setlist while you play. Add, remove, or reorder songs — one change and every screen updates instantly. The whole band always sees the current set.
How do I add my band? +
You create a band in Rally, build your setlist, and share one link with your band members. They create a free account — signing up takes 30 seconds — and they're instantly in the same set.
Is Rally suitable for my sound engineer or technician? +
Absolutely. Rally has a crew channel that lets your technician see where the band is in the set and send and receive cues. So everyone — on and behind the stage — stays in sync.
What makes Rally different from other setlist apps? +
Rally combines live sync, live editing, offline-first, and crew comms in one app — designed for stage reliability. Most other apps only do part of this, or don't work reliably without internet.
Is Rally free? +
Yes. Rally Soundcheck is completely free for personal use — songs, setlists, and tabs on all your devices. No credit card, no trial period. Upgrade to Club or Mainstage when you need live sync with your whole band.
Can I use Rally on my iPad without installing an app? +
Yes. Rally runs in Safari or Chrome on iPad — open the link and you're in. You can add it to your home screen for a full-screen app experience. No App Store download required.
Is Rally good for wedding bands and cover bands? +
Yes. Rally is built for working bands: cover bands, wedding bands, tribute acts, and function bands. Change the set five minutes before showtime, keep every musician on the same song, and play through even when venue WiFi fails.
Does Rally work with a Bluetooth foot pedal? +
Yes. Rally supports Bluetooth foot pedals for hands-free page turns on stage. Pair your pedal in Settings and advance through songs without touching the screen.
How is Rally different from OnSong or BandHelper? +
OnSong and BandHelper are strong tools, but Rally is built around one goal: the whole band on the same song in real time. Rally adds live sync, live set editing, offline-first playback, and crew comms — with one subscription for the entire band.
Do I need internet at the venue? +
Not to play. Your full setlist is cached on every device, so you can perform without WiFi. Live sync between band members does need a connection, but Rally picks up automatically when you're back online.
Is Rally good for churches with a production booth? +
Yes. On Mainstage, Rally includes a crew channel so your FOH engineer, broadcast team, or lighting volunteer can see where the worship team is in the set and exchange cues — alongside musicians on stage. Crew joins free; no extra hardware in your AV rack.

One setlist.
Everyone follows.
