Rally is a Progressive Web App (PWA). No technical jargon needed — it simply means you open a link in your browser and you’re in. No App Store, no installation, no waiting for updates. Works on Safari, Chrome, Firefox — on any device with a browser.
Add it to your home screen
Want Rally to appear as a real app on your homescreen? You can:
- Open Safari on your iPad or iPhone
- Tap the share icon (square with an upward arrow)
- Choose “Add to Home Screen”
- Rally appears as an app icon
From that moment, you open Rally with a single tap, without a browser bar. It looks and feels like a native app.
Offline — your set is always there
No wifi at the venue? No problem. Rally stores your complete set locally on your device. Your songs, setlists and gig info are always available — even in that basement with no signal.
Why no App Store?
Deliberate choice. No App Store means:
- Instant updates — no waiting for Apple or Google review
- No installation barrier — share a link and your band member is looking at the set within 10 seconds
- Works everywhere — iPad, Android tablet, Chromebook, laptop (modern browser)
The modern browser handles offline storage and fullscreen mode. Rally uses that for stage use. Push notifications are not part of Rally today.
The ideal setup
Most musicians use Rally like this:
- iPad on a stand — your main screen during the performance
- iPhone as backup — in your pocket or on your amp
- Laptop for preparation — adding songs, building setlists, planning gigs
Everything stays available on each device you prepared on. Change a song at home on your laptop, reload Rally on your iPad before the gig — your updated set is there. Live sync between band members requires Club or Mainstage (coming soon).
